JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. - The 733d Mission Support Group at Joint Base Langley-Eustis held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for a new Army Training Support Center (ATSC) Headquarters building.

The Army says the new 56,700 square-foot headquarters replaces four different buildings, which housed ATSC personnel, that had begun to deteriorate, leading to unsafe working conditions.

The new building will include administrative space, special work areas, classroom space, conference rooms, storage areas, mailroom functions, and video and telecommunication spaces.

The $13.6 million ATSC headquarters project was a fiscal year 2009 congressional insert. The building is scheduled for completion in March 2011. The 733d MSG Civil Engineer Division and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District is responsible for the military construction project.

ATSC delivers integrated products, services and infrastructure to enable education and full-spectrum training for soldiers.
