PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - The flag you're flying may have a special tie to Hampton Roads, as do many military ship banners, flags flown during important military events, even flags highlighting family crests.

They could be made, by hand, at a facility in the Port Centre section of Portsmouth.

Cheryl Tan got a special tour of U.S. Flag & Signal to see what is "Made in Hampton Roads."

U.S. Flag & Signal is located at 802 Fifth St. in Portsmouth. You can call them at 757-497-8947 or go online to www.flagmaker.com
