CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - The American Cancer is asking people all across Hampton Roads to join them in the fight against cancer.  Cheryl Tan learns about a new long-term research study that could save lives in this edition of "What's Your Problem?"

To be eligible to enroll in CPS-3, men and women should:

  • be between 30 and 65 years old
  • have no personal history of cancer (this does not include basal or squamous cell skin cancer)
  • be willing to make a long-term commitment to the study which simply involves completing periodic follow-up questionnaires.

Go to www.CPS3HamptonRoads.org and make your appointment for a blood test, which will be held in several locations throughout Hampton Roads, from September 15-25, 2012.

There are other opportunities in the state to get screened at other times.  For information on Richmond locations and times, go to www.CPS3Richmond.org . In Fredericksburg, www.CPS3Fredericksburg.org .
