PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is usually something you hear about as a treatment for decompression sickness, one of the hazards of scuba diving, but there are other conditions that could benefit with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Dr. Titus Parker from Renova Wellness stopped by the show to tell us more.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy or HBOT is an FDA approved, noninvasive treatment that enhances the body's natural healing process by increasing oxygen levels in a controlled environment. Renova Wellness Center in downtown Norfolk introduces the first freestanding HBOT chamber in the region and Dr. Titus Parker is here today to explain how Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy works.
