Distracted driving awareness

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Miss America 2012, Laura Kaeppeler and Joe Thomas, GEICO Regional Vice President stopped by to talk about the Distracted Driving Awareness Month Campaign, which is sponsored by Geico, Drive Smart Virginia, Teens with a Purpose and WAVY News 10.

Schools still have a chance to become part of the competition. The month is not over yet. Pledges will be collected from the participating schools on Monday, April 2 and tallied the same week to determine the winning school. The winning school will receive a GEICO sponsored party at their selected sporting event in April.
