Send wish lists to Santa via Twitter

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - With just 12 days left until Christmas, some are worried their Christmas lists won’t make it to Santa in time. Now, he’s on Twitter.

By utilizing the Twitter handle @ letterstosanta , children young and old can tweet Santa their wish list and he will receive it right away. The account is run by Maple the Elf, but Santa will also send tweets signed ‘-Santa.’

“What are you hoping for under the tree? You're never to old to write a letter to me! Just reply and I'll answer back,” one tweet said. Since it was sent, dozens of Twitter users have tweeted the big guy, and Maple the Elf has replied.

One person asked Santa to give their gift to someone in Sandy’s path. Maple the Elf replied, “Well, that is so sweet of you! Thank you for sharing some holiday cheer! :)”

If your tweet isn’t returned quickly, don’t worry. Santa and his elves are pretty busy the closer it gets to Christmas and still read each and every letter, no matter what form it comes in.
