HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The 29th Annual Hampton Bay Days will showcase music by national recording artists, an impressive fireworks display and for the first time ever, the Inaugural Hampton Bay Days BBQ Challenge.

The competition, governed by the rules of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) and Hampton Days, will take place on Sept. 10.

• Limited to 25 entries
• Each team participating will need to submit entries into four categories (to be considered for grand champion): Beef brisket, pork ribs (loin or spare), pork (shoulder, butt, or picnic), and poultry.
• Set up will begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 9
• Judging will begin at noon on Sept. 10
• The awards ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10
