NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - "It's reading month and the students at Crittenden Middle School are getting busy - into books.
Some of them first thought I was crazy when I told them to Turn the TV Off - CLICK, TURN THE RADIO OFF- CLICK! TURN THE COMPUTER OFF - CLICK and read something - GET SMART.
But the smart ones got my point quickly when I told them how "smart people get paid." And then I heard the rest join in with "aw yeah, I like getting paid."
I look for big things out of you sixth graders!
