Norfolk, VA - In early October Meteorologist Jeremy Wheeler helped teachers with the annual CHROME launch at Old Dominion University. CHROME stands for Cooperating Hampton Roads Organization for Minorities in Engineering. www.chrome.org . "CHROME’s vision is to be recognized as the leading organization promoting student access to, and achievement in, science, mathematics, engineering, and related technical fields to meet future global requirements."
Jeremy talked to the teachers about how to get students interested in meteorology. He also talked about how there are many aspects of meteorology that involve engineering. If a student is good in math and science and loves weather, then meteorology is for them.
