What is the 10 Who Care Awards?

The 10 Who Care Award is a prestigious honor that recognizes individuals throughout the area performing great public service, but largely without recognition.

How do I nominate someone?

You can nominate someone in areas such as helping senior citizens, children, the disadvantaged and the mentally ill; improving education, health care and the environment; expanding recreational and cultural activities, promoting safety, and so on.

Who is eligible?

Any individual who contributes their time voluntarily to improve the quality of life in Hampton Roads is eligible.

Are there geographic limitations?

Anyone in the WAVY-TV viewing area is eligible.

Are there any limitations on the nomination letters?

Letters can be any length, and they may be typed or handwritten legibly. No "points" are given for style.

 

 

What is the deadline?

 

Deadline is October 2, 2009.

Is there an entry fee?

No.

 

How many award winners will be selected?

A panel of judges will select 10 winners.

When will the 10 Who Care Award winners be announced?

10 Who Care Award winners will be announced in  November 2009.
