After a tragic accident took the life her husband, our next honoree looked for someone who could identify with her a young widow with three small children. Finding nothing, she decided to look past her own grief and start a group - today known as YWOW - or Young Widows or Widowers. Now a full-fledged non-profit, YWOW has members across the country. YWOW offers support groups, workshops, and numerous group outings. Her tireless efforts to garner gifts and grants have helped members to obtain summer camps for their children and soon - scholarships will also be available. Turning her own troubles into solace for others is what makes Cindy Gossman one of WAVY-TV's 10 Who Care.
