"We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give." --Winston Churchill
Our next honoree has certainly made a great life through giving. He has served so proudly for so long on the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia Board of Directors, he has now received an honorary lifetime appointment. He's chaired the Foodbank's premiere event - the Taste of Hampton Roads and has frequently served as an advocate for the mission, bringing in countless donors and volunteers. Beyond the Foodbank, his philanthropic roots also reach the Tidewater Jewish Foundation and the United Way. He worked on The Power of One -- a project to raise money for the United Way and the Foodbank. Outside of contributing time, food and funds here in Hampton Roads, this honoree has invested heavily in creating a school for children in Nicaragua. He's even taken Spanish lessons in order to work with local contractors and residents there. Through his family's unfaultering efforts, the school will soon open. For his thousands of volunteer hours and dedication to a legacy of giving, we are happy to honor Andy Kline as one of WAVY-TV's 10 Who Care.
