Tom joins us from Central Florida where he spent the last 12 years running between hurricanes, space shuttle launches and NASCAR's Daytona 500.  He also covered the Florida Gators successful runs at consecutive NCAA titles in football and basketball. But Tom's most memorable stories came during 2004, when nature slammed the Orlando area with four hurricanes.

"That's when you have to improvise, and do all you can to just get on the air.  It can be a humbling experience."

When Tom wasn't ducking nature's wrath, he was rising every weekday morning at 2 a.m. to anchor the morning news at WESH-TV

Now he'll join WAVY's lineup, working alongside Alveta and Nicole at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Tom also bleeds Black and Gold, rooting for every team in Pittsburgh, where he grew up.  He graduated from Duquesne University with a BA degree, and is proud to join the winning team at WAVY.
