Oren Liebermann

Oren joined WAVY in August of '07 as a general assignment reporter covering anything that comes his way.  Oren is excited to be back in his home state.  He was born in Charlottesville, VA when his dad attended grad school at UVA, and then returned there for undergrad years later.  In between, he lived in Israel (Hebrew is his first language) and New Jersey (yes, he likes New Jersey). 

After receiving a business degree and realizing that he didn't want to crunch numbers all day, he attended Syracuse for grad school.  Oren's last reporting job was a short, 200 mile trip up Rt. 13, where he worked for WBOC in the Dover, DE bureau. 

Oren spends as much of his spare time as possible in the air.  He is a certified pilot and aircraft owner, bombing around the skies in the family RV-6A.  Soon enough, Oren hopes to be a flight instructor on his days off.
