Kay Young

Born and raised in Delaware, Kay Young first joined WAVY-TV in May of 2000. She left for a short stint and now she is back.

Proud to be a Hokie, Kay is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with degrees in both Communication Studies and Political Science. Her first day at Tech was the first day she set foot in Virginia, but she quickly fell in love with the Commonwealth.

Kay's first broadcasting job was at WVTF-FM in Roanoke, but she later moved to television at WVIR-TV in Charlottesville and most recently WHYY-TV in Delaware.
