David Culver is a reporter for WAVY News 10 Sunrise and WAVY News 10 Today. He also anchors WAVY News 10 Saturday Morning and WAVY News 10 Sunday Morning.
He joined WAVY-TV/FOX 43 as a web editor in November 2008. In that role, David produced stories for the station's two websites, wavy.com and fox43tv.com, and covered web-related content on air.
David began his broadcasting career as an intern for NBC4-WRC, the NBC owned and operated station in Washington, D.C. He also interned for the NBC News Investigative Unit, contributing to MSNBC.com, NBC Nightly News and the Today Show.
Born and raised in Fairfax Station, Virginia, David graduated from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. and went on to study at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. While studying at William & Mary, David lived in Seville, Spain, where he blogged about his European travels and filed web reports for nbcwashington.com. David graduated with a degree in Hispanic Studies and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He is fluent in Spanish.
Although he grew up in northern Virginia, David is no stranger to Hampton Roads. His extended Cuban family -- including aunts, uncles and many cousins -- lives throughout the area. He currently resides in Virginia Beach.
