Brian Parsons joined the WAVY sports department in 1997 as a videographer and within a year was promoted to Sports Producer. In recent years, Brian's role has expanded to include anchoring the Sportswrap and reporting.

During his time at WAVY, Brian says the biggest event he helped cover was the death of Dale Earnhardt at the 2001 Daytona 500.

Brian is a 1991 graduate of Kellam High School in Virginia Beach and is a proud alum of Old Dominion University where he majored in communications.

When Brian is not in front of the camera, you will see him on the sidelines and courstide carrying a camera, getting footage of all the big games in Hampton Roads.

Brian is an avid fan of the Redskins andconsiders college basketball and NASCAR his favorite sports.
