Art Kohn first joined WAVY-TV as a photographer in 1987. He now works both behind and in front of the camera as a video journalist.
During his time at WAVY, Art has covered everything from the conflict in Somalia to the Gulf Wars in Iraq. He now covers a variety of military stories and works general assignments as well.
Art graduated from James Madison University in 1983 and is also a graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach where he currently lives.
Art says the thing he enjoys most about his job is meeting new people and telling interesting stories. When he is not working, Art enjoys surfing, fishing and playing golf with his friends.
Before coming to WAVY he was a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for WWAY in Wilmington, N.C. Art says he feels extremely fortunate to work in Hampton Roads where he has lived most of his life and to be doing a job that he enjoys so much.
