Tom joined 10 On Your Side in 2007, and currently co-anchors WAVY News 10 at 5pm, 6pm and 11pm as well as FOX 43 News at 10pm.
He hit the ground running after spending 12 years in Central Florida covering hurricanes, space shuttle launches and NASCAR's Daytona 500. Upon arriving in Hampton Roads, Tom embraced the community hosting major events benefiting Junior Achievement, the American Heart Association, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, the 10 Who Care, and Military Spouse Awards.
Tom brought more than 20 years experience to the WAVY team, and has been recognized with awards from the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, Virginia Association of Broadcasters along with three regional Emmy Awards for his series on Old Dominion University reviving its football program in 2009. Besides his daily 10 On Your Side anchor duties, Tom dabbles in photography, hosting a monthly segment on The Hampton Roads Show, where he takes viewers on quirky trips "Through the Lens."
Tom married his wife Crystal in 2011, who herself spent 10 years in television news before pursuing a career as a sommelier, starting her own business in 2013.
Tom also bleeds Black and Gold, rooting for every team in Pittsburgh, where he grew up. He graduated from Duquesne University with a BA degree, and is proud to be a part of the winning team at WAVY.
